Does anyone know this school? My daughter is in year 5 in a local state school. She is very bright and doing well at school but has moderate ADD and mild dyslexia and sometimes needs support. We were thinking about trying for Emanuel school next year and her headteacher is really positive about her chances but I've heard some negative things about it from other parents. Basically, I've heard that they don't exactly welcome kids with any SEN, especially in recent years. Not officially of course but in reality. Is it because of the new headteacher? I've heard that they are very competitive these days and a bit obsessed with improving their rankings (says my friend who has a son there). My daughter is bright and the school is practically on our doorstep but I want to make sure she is in a supportive environment. Anyone please?
